Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan Award for Excellence in Indian Cinema: Superstar Rajnikanth.
‘Pasanga’ bagged the most number of awards at the fourth UniverCell Vijay Awards 2010 function at a star-studded function which was held yesterday.
The speech and hearing impaired actor Abinaya received a standing ovation for her performance in ‘Nadodigal.’ She bagged the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ (female) award.
Actors Vijay and Anushka won the Favourite Hero and Favourite Heroine awards for their performance in ‘Vettaikaran.’ ‘Ayan‘ starred by Surya was chosen as Favourite Film and the Favourite Song of the Year 2010 went to ‘Oru Chinnathamarai.’
Director Samuthrakani received the Favourite Director Award. Among the 27 categories chosen by jury members, actors Prakashraj and Pooja won the Best Actor and Best Actress awards for films ‘Kancheevaram‘ and ‘Naan Kadavul’ respectively.
